At Throw & Fire, we want you to be confident in your purchase. Because ceramic materials and tools have unique handling considerations, please review our policy carefully.
Returns Eligibility
We accept returns on unused, unopened, and resalable items within 14 days of delivery, subject to the conditions below.
To be eligible for a return:
- Items must be unused and in original packaging
- Clay must be unopened, unfired, unaltered, and not frozen
- Tools and accessories must show no signs of use
- Proof of purchase is required
Returns that do not meet these conditions may be refused.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or refund:
- Opened or used clay
- Fired or altered ceramic materials
- Glazes, slips, or chemicals that have been opened
- Clearance or final sale items
- Custom or special-order products
- Gift cards
Due to the nature of ceramic materials, we cannot resell items that may have been exposed to improper handling or environmental conditions.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
To help us resolve the issue quickly, please include:
- Your order number
- Photos of the damaged item(s) and packaging
- A brief description of the issue
If approved, we will offer a replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion.
Shipping Costs
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error
- We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as Throw & Fire is not responsible for items lost during return shipping
Refund Processing
Once your return is received and inspected:
- Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method
- Refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider
We reserve the right to deny refunds that do not meet return conditions.
Local Pickup Orders
For orders placed with local pickup, returns must be initiated within 7 days of pickup and meet the same eligibility requirements outlined above.
Wholesale, School, & Bulk Orders
Wholesale, school, and bulk orders are final sale, unless items arrive damaged or incorrect. Please inspect these orders promptly upon delivery.
