Red Clay (RL6) is a smooth, versatile clay perfect for hand building. It fires to various hues: orange at Cone 016, red at Cone 06, and brown at Cone 02. Burnishes beautifully and yields striking results with primitive pit or Raku firing, though its fine texture may present challenges with these techniques.
