WH8 – White Stoneware Cone 6 is a versatile midrange stoneware clay that incorporates 10% fine white sand, enhancing its workability and strength. Known for its excellent plasticity, WH8 is ideal for throwing, making it a great choice for both beginners and experienced potters. This clay works well with a variety of glazes, though testing with Amaco PC9, 10, and 11 is recommended for optimal results. WH8’s bright, colorful glaze outcomes and resistance to crazing make it suitable for functional ware and small outdoor tiles. For larger outdoor projects, a Rough version of WH8 is also available, offering additional texture and durability.
